Kalanchoe Katapifa ‘Tarantula’ is an unusual succulent prized for its distinctive, spider-like foliage. Its fleshy green leaves are long, narrow, irregularly curled, and deeply toothed, creating a wild, sculptural appearance. This branching, bushy plant can also produce clusters of vibrant pink flowers, adding a splash of colour to its striking foliage. It makes a unique addition to succulent collections, sunny windowsills, and warm outdoor containers.

NOTE | Kalanchoe ‘Tarantula’ needs plenty of light to maintain compact growth and encourage flowering. Avoid overwatering, as persistently wet soil can lead to root rot. Like many Kalanchoe plants, it may be toxic if ingested; keep away from pets and children.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROOTING CUTTINGS

Allow the cut end of the stem cutting to dry and callus for a few days. Insert the cutting into a dry, well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Keep it in bright, indirect light in a warm location. Wait until roots begin to develop before watering more regularly, and avoid keeping the soil wet during rooting.
