Epiphyllum oxypetalum, known as the Dutchman's pipe cactus, princess of the night, or queen of the night, is a cactus species native to Mexico to Nicaragua. While it's an easily cultivated species, flowering is infrequent and occurs exclusively at night. This plant can thrive in direct sunlight, but it requires a gradual acclimatization period of a couple of weeks. There may be some leaf loss due to sunburn during this acclimatization, but the subsequent new growths are typically more robust when exposed to direct sunlight.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROOTING CUTTINGS
Tuck the leaf cutting (upright) 1" to 2" into the soil. Keep soil moist for the next 4 weeks. Roots should form and new growth should emerge.
