Hailing from Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, Dischidia stands out as an underrated distant relative of hoyas. Flourishing in tropical rainforests, these epiphytic plants commonly attach themselves to tree branches, absorbing nutrients from the air and rain. Similar to many epiphytic species, Dischidia exhibits intricate root systems that function as anchors, enabling them to effortlessly cling to various surfaces. The blooms of Dischidia are often petite, star-shaped, and typically display shades of white or cream.
