Rudbeckia ‘Sahara’ is prized for its large, velvety daisy-like blooms with a rich, dark cone centre. Growing 1–2 feet tall, this compact variety is ideal for borders, beds, and cut flower gardens. Blooming from midsummer into fall, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, offering long-lasting colour with minimal care.

Easy to grow and pollinator-friendly, ‘Sahara’ brings warmth and elegance to the garden while providing a steady supply of striking blooms for fresh arrangements.

Interesting fact: Rudbeckia ‘Sahara’ is a seed-strain blend, bred to produce a wide range of flower colours—bronze, caramel, rose, mahogany, gold, and more—rather than a single uniform shade. That’s why it’s often sold as a “mix.” Because the strain was developed for genetic diversity, it does not “breed true” from seed.
