Bowiea Gariepensis is a rare bulbous succulent native to South Africa and Namibia, where it grows among rocky slopes and dry riverbeds, thriving in bright light and arid conditions. It produces delicate, climbing green stems that twist and tangle like living lace, while its bulb stores water below the surface to endure long droughts. With no true leaves, the stems handle photosynthesis, giving the plant its signature airy, sculptural look — a fascinating addition to any succulent collection.
