Santa Rita Prickly Pear is an attractive species, featuring round to ovate fleshy pads which turn reddish or violet-purple when grown in direct sunlight or cold stressed or drought. It is frost tolerant and can survive winter temperatures down to -7°C. This beautiful cactus makes an ideal companion in the garden or patio container.
