Pachyphytum Machucae is tolerant of both heat and sunlight, and its fleshy, finger-like leaves vary in colour from lavender to blue-grey to pink, depending on both temperature and sunlight. Offsets often appear at the base and, if lower leaves start to be pruned, it indicates a need for water.

Insert the cutting into the soil 0.5" to 1" deep. When the soil is dry, water the plant sparingly. Roots should form in about two weeks. Keep the plant in bright shade during the rooting period. To avoid burning the leaves, gradually acclimatize the plant to outdoor conditions or full sun.
