Haworthia Magnifica ‘Atrofusca’ is a striking and highly sought-after Haworthia known for its deep, dark green to almost black foliage and compact rosette form. The thick, firm leaves have a subtle sheen and fine surface texture, giving this plant a dramatic, sculptural presence that stands out in any succulent collection.

This medium-growing Haworthia thrives in bright, indirect light and is well suited to indoor growing. It prefers a gritty, well-draining soil mix and infrequent watering, making it a low-maintenance yet rewarding plant for both experienced collectors and careful beginners. Over time, mature plants may produce offsets, forming attractive clumps.

LIGHT | Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some morning sun, avoid harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf burn
COLD TOLERANCE | Can survive down to 5°C (41°F); not frost-hardy

SOIL PH | Slightly acidic to neutral (pH 6.0–7.0)
SOIL TYPE | 20% potting mix with 80% grits (e.g., pumice or calcined clay) for excellent drainage
FERTILIZER | Light feeding during active growth (fall to spring in Canada) with diluted balanced cactus fertilizer, or top-dress with organic fertilizer such as worm castings
PROPAGATION METHODS | Offsets (pups), leaf cuttings, seed (rare)
HUMIDITY LEVEL | Low to average household humidity
ACTIVE SEASON | Fall to spring (in Canada)

NOTE

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROOTING CUTTINGS
Insert cutting into the soil (.5" deep). When soil is dry, water the plant sparingly. Roots should form in the following two weeks. Plants should be in bright shade during the rooting period. To avoid leaves from getting burnt, acclimatize the plant to outdoors or full sun.
