Echeveria Laui is one of the most attractive echeveria with leaves and the rosette can grow up to 7" in diameter. It's a succulent that you can only look at, but no touching or you will leave your fingers imprinted on the heavy, blue, powdery leaves. The powder is to protect the leaves from the sun and will not grow back once it's rubbed off.
Laui is more finicky to grow and not as easy to propagate from leaves compared to other echeveria species. Laui grows well in a soilless medium or with 1:1 soil and pumice. Grow plants in unglazed terracotta pots to allow oxygen to exchange in the root zone and water sparingly. Although the plant can tolerate a short period of temperatures to -3 ºC, they will not thrive in appearance once temperatures drop below 7 ºC. In the summer it is best to grow echeveria laui in partial shade and not in direct sun.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROOTING CUTTINGS
Place cutting on top of the soil. Roots should form in the following two weeks. Plants should be in bright shade during the rooting period. Water the cutting sparingly when there is root and only water when the soil is dry. After cutting has rooted, to avoid leaves from getting burnt, acclimatize the plant to outdoors.
